Family House, Gödöllő

The task was to design a building to be used as a photography studio, with interesting enterior, and also as an apartment. During the design-process the photography studio- aspect became more prominent, and as a result, unique enterior and exterior spaces started to take shape. The eastern part of the building has two floors, while the western and northern parts have one floor, with an open structure and visible roof. The connection between the two parts is quite dynamic. The exterior has a very specific design: there is an open-air livingroom, with a fireplace, plus two enclosed gardens, attached to the northern facade. The back garden of the building faces a small cluster of trees, growing around a stream, which could be observed from the viewpoint- terrace, situated at the back facade, on the top of a spiral staircase. The two opposing facades of the building are covered by Corten covering.
